Poland's Lech play down Rudnevs transfer talk
Poland's reigning champions Lech Poznan on Tuesday dodged speculation that their high-profile striker Artjoms Rudnevs could be on his way to Italy.
"We haven't had any official requests concerning Rudnevs," Lech's president Andrzej Kadzinski told the Polish news agency PAP, amid spiralling rumours that Italian club Udinese are after the player for six million euros.
"He's crucial for our match against Sporting Braga, and he has a valid contract with Lech for a good couple of years," Kadzinski said.
"Right now this is pure speculation. If a formal offer turns up, then we can start talking about something solid," he added.
