Google"Schenker" līga uzņem apgriezienus

Šajā nedēļas nogalē (13. un 14. oktobris) tiks izspēlētas divpadsmit "Schenker" volejbola līgas spēles. Desmit no tām tiks izspēlētas Igaunijas un Lietuvas volejbola laukumos, bet divas Daugavpilī.
Šajā nedēļas nogalē dalību „Schenker” līgā uzsāks Latvijas 2006./2007. gada čempionvienība „Lāse-R”. Komandu starpsezonā atstājuši divi tās līderi – Gundars Celitāns un Ruslans Sorokins. Komandas pieteikumā nav arī Ivara Kovala, kurš izteicis vēlmi izmēģināt spēkus ārpus Latvijas, taču pagaidām ārstē savainojumus. Interesanti, ka "Lāse-R" sastāvā šosezon būs divi ārzemnieki – serbs leģionārs Jovans Jukanovičs, kā arī ASV izlases spēlētājs Alans Vinss, kuram šī būs pirmā sezona ārpus savas dzimtenes. Komandu kopumā skārušas diezgan lielas izmaiņas, tāpēc arī komandas spēle izskatīsies pavisam citādāk. Pirmajā šīs sezonas „Schenker” līgas spēlē sestdien „Lāse-R” izbraukumā tiksies ar „Viru” komandu, bet svētdien mērosies spēkiem ar „Parnu” vienību.
Latvijas volejbola laukumos šajā nedēļas nogalē risināsies vien divas spēles. Sestdien Daugavpilī „Ezerzeme / DU” uzņems „Pere Leib”, bet svētdien eksaminēs „Selver” klubu.
Atgādināsim, ka šosezon "Schenker" līgā startē 13 komandas no visām trim Baltijas valstīm. Tāpat kā pagājušajā sezonā līgā startē pa sešām komandām no Latvijas un Igaunijas, bet atšķirībā no iepriekšējiem gadiem viena komanda pārstāv Lietuvu. Šī ir pirmā sezona, kad "Schenker" līgā uzņemti arī mūsu dienvidu kaimiņi.

Do you know in which club Meresaar is playing this seasson - is it Parnu? I tried to find out it in EVF web page, but wtihout any results.

Yes you are correct. Last year he played in my hometown, Tartu, but our trainer was not good enough and he decided to go to Parnu(In my opinion, there is best trainer in Estonia, Andrei Ojamets). Meresaar also hopes to play in some good team in next year... But how G. Celitans is doing in France? I think he is good enough to play in such a good League and score much points

Yes, he should play somewhere abroad, because his potential is enormous. He had played in russian superleague (if i remember correctly) - and that's something. Parnu, despite the good coach, is not for him.
Celitans did very well in first games (averaged 20 points i guess) - anyway didn't saw +/- statistics. But in the last one he played only 1/2 of set. So, have tio wait for next games.
I think, it will be a hard season for tartu - 3 important players left the team. How newcomers do look like?

This is nice that Celitans is doing so good. Hopefully he can keep it up...
I think all 3 newcomers are in very good level. Toni Kankanpää played last year in Selver and he is one of my favorite player in Schenker League(He finished game between Lase-R and Selver in last season final game), very powerful serv and attack. New settler is pretty old, but hopefully he`s experiences in Champions League will help us. It should be interesting season, but I saw some weeks ago Cev Cup game between Selver and Sofia(Who played well in Champions League 2006-2007 and Selver won easily). Selver was very powerful and I think they will defend Schenker League title. But miracles can happen...

I don't have seen "Lase-R" this season but in the middle and at the end of the season they can show a good skils... I have heared that the american and a serb is quit good... but very expencive too!
