Anglijas Premjerlīgas 7. kārtas centrālajā spēlē "Manchester United" šodien ar 2:0 savā laukumā uzveica Londonas "Chelsea". Vārtus uzvarētāju labā guva Karloss Tevezs un Luijs Saā (ar 11 metru soda sitienu).
"Manchester United" spēli iesāka ar pamatīgu ofensīvu - tikai Petra Čeha meistarība neļāva Veinam Rūnijam atklāt spēles rezultātu jau 2. minūtē. Arī turpmāk liels teritotriāls pārsvars piederēja mājniekiem, kuri ik pa laikam "patraucēja" Čehu. Liels pavērsiens notika 32. minūtē, kad Obi Mikels "iebrauca" kājās Patrisam Evram un tika noraidīts - "Manchester United" spiediens vēl jo vairāk palielinājās. Vārtus izdevās gūt pašā 1. puslaika izskaņā, kad pēc Raiana Gigsa piespēles soda laukumā visus apsteidza Tevezs, raidot bumbu vārtos ar galvu - 1:0. Tie bija viņa pirmie vārti šajā sezonā Premjerlīgā.

Roman Abramovich is alleged to have given an impromptu tactical briefing to Chelski players after Tuesday's tedious Champions League with Rosenborg.
According to The Observer, the Russian took advantage of Jose Mourinho's absence to march into the dressing room and use Andriy Shevchenko as a translator while he explained to Chelski's startled players their failings.
'In front of the entire Chelsea team, but while Mourinho was occupied with press conference duties, the Russian billionaire decided to hand out an impromptu tactics lesson to Michael Essien.
'Employing striker Andriy Shevchenko as translator, he instructed midfielder Essien, player of the year last season, to hit passes wide rather than through central areas where the Norwegians had compressed play,' the newspaper claims.

Avram Grant, speaking after his first game, and first defeat as Chelsea manger was not too disheartened by his team’s performance.
“I’m very happy from the boys, they give it a big fight today after you know what happened and after three games without a win without scoring goals, so I think we fight today and it was not an easy game,” he told Sky Sports.
Asked whether he thought the referee’s decisions had affected the game, his response was not too dissimilar to his predecessor’s usual spiel.
“I didn’t want to speak about this, I need to think about it, but too many strange things happened today, the sending off that was not, two minutes in extra time, they score the goal after three minutes I think, then the penalty, maybe I’m naïve a bit,” he continued
“I think his decisions affected the result because we had to play first have ten men against eleven, then they scored the goal after the time, then the penalty, so it affects our results, but I’m happy from my guys.”
There were question marks over Grant’s eligibility to take control at Chelsea and officials from inside the game agree. The Israeli now has just 90 days to apply for, and successfully obtain the relevant coaching badges to manage a Premier League club.
If these papers are not obtained, then Grant will be unable to manage after January, but the boss thinks this will not prove a problem.
“It’s a matter of process, I’m a coach, I’ve been a national coach, so there is no problem. I’ve coached many years, I don’t know, but there is no problem,” he commented.
Finally, asked whether he had the support of every player in the dressing room, Grant’s response won’t sit easily with fans of Chelsea :“I don’t know, I just can say one thing. I’m very proud of what the players did this week, how they play, how they train, how they behaved, their spirit. If they continue like this everything will be okay.”
