Andris Biedriņš šorīt guva 11 punktus un izcīnīja 26(!) atlēkušās bumbas, sasniedzot jaunu karjeras rekordu (20 bumbas aizsardzībā – arī jauns rekords!) un palīdzot Goldensteitas "Warriors" savā laukumā ar 106:104 uzvarēt Ņujorkas "Knicks".
Pēc sekmīgās pirmās ceturtdaļas, kuras izskaņā "Warriors" vienubrīd panāca 11 punktu pārsvaru, bet noslēdza ar +9, sekoja nesekmīgākas nākamās 12 minūtes. Nedaudz vairāk kā sešas minūtes līdz puslaika beigām "Knicks" pretiniekus panāca un izvirzījās vadībā. Arī atlikušajās pirmā puslaika minūtēs sekmīgāk darbojās ņujorkieši, tādejādi pārtraukumā "kareivjiem" nācās doties piecu punktu deficītu – 47:52.
Andris Biedriņš spēlēja 41 minūti un 13 sekundes, guva 11 punktus (1p. – 3/5, 2p. – 4/6), izcīnīja 26 atlēkušās bumbas (karjeras rekords), no tām 20 – aizsardzībā (karjeras rekords), izdarīja divas rezultatīvas piespēles, vienreiz kļūdījās un nopelnīja četras piezīmes. 26 atlēkušās bumbas ir arī NBA sezonas rekords.
Biedriņa iepriekšējie rekordi atlēkušajās bumbās bija 18 kopā un 14 aizsardzībā.

25 punktus uzvarētāju labā guva Stīvens Džeksons, 24 – Monta Eliss, bet 22 punktus un deviņas rezultatīvas piespēles komandas "uzvaras bagāžā" pievienoja Barons Deiviss. Zaudētājiem ar 22 punktiem rezultatīvākais bija Neits Robinsons.

Biedrins’ Monster Performance on the Glass Lifts Warriors

OAKLAND, Calif., Jan. 27 (AP) -- The way Andris Biedrins grabbed every rebound that came his direction, it didn't look as if the Golden State Warriors needed any more help on the inside.
Coach Don Nelson knows that's not the case, which is why he's still interested in putting his old feud with Chris Webber to rest and bringing the free agent forward back to Golden State.
Biedrins had the Warriors' best rebounding game in more than a quarter-century, grabbing an NBA-season high 26 boards Sunday night to help Golden State for a 106-104 victory over the New York Knicks.
Biedrins' performance was the talk after the game. But before the contest, the focus was on Nelson saying he hoped the team would bring back Webber, who won the Rookie of the Year with the Warriors in 1993-94 only to be traded the next season after clashing with Nelson.
With the Warriors relying almost entirely on two big men, Biedrins and Al Harrington, Nelson has been lobbying for Webber, saying he didn't know if the team could make the playoffs if it didn't sign him.
"Of course I take it a little bit personally because that's my job,'' Biedrins said. "My job is at the defensive end, rebound and block shots. I try to do my job as good as I can.''
He did it as well as ever against the Knicks. His 26 rebounds were the most by a Warriors player since Larry Smith grabbed 31 against Denver on March, 28, 1981 - more than 5 years before Biedrins was even born.
"Dre was a monster,'' teammate Stephen Jackson said. "It was hard for anybody else to get rebounds because he was getting them all. That's what he does. He's our best rebounder on the team. If he hadn't had those 26 rebounds I think they would have killed us inside and won that game.''
