BK “Ventspils” head coach Roberts Stelmahers: “I can describe this team thus: it is well built with multiple very good players. They play as from inside, as well as from outside lines, strong centre positions, play aggressively not only under the basket, but also from the mid-ran".

He also said: "Their biggest advantage is their home court, and just like everybody else they will want to win there. Our task is to go and play our game, and make them nervous during each and every minute of the game. I think, if we play good than we can win. We are ready for a very tense game and not some excursion trip.”

BK “Ventspils” player Maris Gulbis: “Krasnodar’s team “Lokomotiv” is one of the strongest teams in the EuroCup tournament, their roster is balanced, very strong players in all positions. The players can substitute each other that makes the game even tougher. It does not do nothing good to us that they just lost to “Astana” in Kazakhstan in VTB League. The team will definitely will do its best to get a victory no matter what. We will come in prepared and will go to a fight, we are ready to fight, and no – we don’t go to Russia with unpleasant feeling. We have already one game, and it is always good to start the tournament with a victory, it gives you confidence. We feel like fighting for every centimetre, we won’t hand the victory to our rivals just like a gift, we aren’t even thinking of giving up.”
