Muštukovam lieliska spēle un uzvara
SPHL čempionātā ļoti veiksmīgu spēli aizvadījis latviešu vārtsargs Ervīns Muštukovs, kurš bija viens no galvenajiem Knoksvillas “Ice Bears” panākuma kaldinātājiem pret Hantsvillas “Havoc” – 5:1.

Nu Skudra jau arī savā laikā ar zemākajām līgām sāka... beigās līdz NHL izsitās! Lai Muštukovam ir līdzīgs ceļš! Viss ir paša rokās + vēl mazliet veiksmi arī vajag....
Skudra nekad tik zemā līmenī nav spēlējis - viņš divas sezonas aizvadīja ECHL, bet zemāk gan nav bijis...
Arī Naumovs malās pa WCHL (kas kādriez bija paralēla līga ECHL) un ECHL...

Nu ko! Muštukovam ir iespēja pierādīt, ka var arī no zemākām līgām par par ECHL izsisties! Kā jau teicu viss ir paša rokās + vajag vēl mazliet veiksmi!

Crosby and Mustukovs named players of the week in the QMJHL
LONGUEUIL - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announced the offensive and defensive players of the week for the period from Monday November 10 to Sunday November 16, 2003.
For the fourth time this season, the superb centre player Sidney Crosby from the Rimouski Oceanic won the title of offensive player of the week. In two games, Sidney scored three goals, one winning, and had four passes for a total of seven points and a differential of +4. Crosby contributed to seven of the nine goals (78%) scored by his team.
The talented 16 year-old player born in Halifax has reached 50 points at his 24th game in the Courteau circuit, collecting two goals - one of which was his 20th winning goal of the season -, as well as two assists for a total of four points against the Shawinigan Cataractes last Tuesday in a 53 win. During Sunday's game against Chicoutimi who lost 4-2, Crosby scored one goal and added two assists for a total of three points. One of the two assists was on Dany Roussin's winning goal at the 16th minute of the third period, breaking the 2 - 2 tie.
Sidney Crosby leads the QMJHL scorers with 53 points in 25 games. He is 12 points ahead of P.E.I. Rocket's Michael Lambert. Sidney will participate in the RE/MAX Canada-Russia Challenge at both games to be played on the QMJHL territory, that is on Thursday November 20 in Halifax and on Monday November 24 in Rimouski. The Baie-Comeau Drakkar will be visiting the Rimouski Oceanic this Friday November 21.
The other offensive players nominated were Alexandre Bolduc from the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, Steve Bernier with the Moncton Wildcats and Michael Lambert from the P.E.I. Rocket.
The Drummondville Voltigeurs goaltender, Ervins Mustukovs, is the defensive player of the week in the QMJHL. In two games, the player from Leetonia had one win, one tie , kept an average of 0.96 and an efficiency rate of 0.965. Ervins saved 55 of the 57 shots hit against him.
The game played last Friday in Val-d'Or was tied 1 - 1. The young goaltender faced 31 shots during the whole game, 16 during the first period. At 8:28, Mustukovs' stopped a penalty shot by Alexandre Kojevnikov. With this save, Ervins Mustukovs became the sole goaltender to have stopped a penalty shot on a total of five. Yesterday the team collected a 3-1 win against the Shawinigan Cataractes. Mustukovs got 26 shots and allowed one goal scored by Benoit Mondou during the second period.
The Drummondville Voltigeurs and the Shawinigan Cataractes are both in third position of the West Division with 26 points. However, Shawinigan played one game less. The Voltigeurs will play this Friday in Gatineau when they visit the Olympiques. The game will be broadcasted on Vox Channel. Their next game at home will be played against the visiting Val d'Or Foreurs this coming Saturday.
The other defensive players nominated were Dominic D'Amour (Gatineau Olympiques), Corey Crawford (Moncton Wildcats) and Mario Scalzo Jr (Victoriaville Tigres).
