Probably the most frustrating and painful 48 minutes of Basketball I have ever sat through in my entire life. I never thought I would see a team shoot 70% from the floor and go 5-5 on three pointers in a quarter and look up at the scoreboard to be trailing by seven. The Nuggets scored 44 Points in the first quarter. Put that into perspective...44 points in the first quarter. There is absolutely no way to recover from a team scoring even 34 points in a quarter like they did in the fourth quarter, but 44 is not even in the realm of any exhibition game where no defense is even attempted by the opposing team. I don't the globetrotters have ever hung a 44 on the Generals. Every member of that starting lineup should lose there job and have to earn their way back into the starting lineup...I am not even joking...I would have started Fisher, Ellis, Cheaney, Diogu and Biedrins in the second half just to send a message to those guys...You don't play defense, you don't play...Period! I don't care if we lose every game...that is just not acceptable.

Foyle is not an NBA calibur player and everybody knows it including Monty...It is now abundantly clear that he is only starting in an effort to not throw up red flags to any possible suiters that might be willing to part with a seventh round pick in the upcoming NFL draft. There is not other way to explain why he gets any minutes. He is a non factor on offense and on defense he is helping too much getting out of position and not blocking out...thus we get killed on the offensive boards and he isn't even blocking any shots. The individual improvement of our defense has actualy made Adonal a liability on defense, because he doesn't know when to stick with his man and when to help out.

Dunleavy played his best game of the season and even though Carmello put up 27 points on him, he actually played well at both ends and had a terrific floor game. He was aggressive and looked for his shots tonight. I really can't say much else about his effort. If he played like this on a consistant basis I would have no problems with him.

Once again it doesn't show up in the boxscore but our backcourt was badly outplayed. Richardson comes up with some really bad turnovers at crucial times and Baron can't seem to get on the same page with whatever it is Monty is trying to run for an offense. At one point in the fourth quarter Baron was not even paying attention in the huddle when Monty was calling a play. I can tell some doubt is starting to creep into Barons mind about the use of personell on this team.

Even as bad as they are playing though the game was still well within reach at the start of the fourth quarter...but baron sat for like 8 minutes and Denver broke the game wide open with a familliar fourth quarter weapon...Little Earl "I can score in seven straight possesions" Boykins.

Bottom line is we have weapons, but they are not being used correctly and until we figure out how to mesh this talent together (The Coach's Job) we are not going to be anywhere near a playoff calibur team. The best we can hope for at this point is to hover around .500 and be a competitive team down the stretch and at least be in the conversation along with 5 or 6 other teams for the 8th spot in the west.

The formula is simple, play hard aggessive defense, secure defensive rebounds, run and push the tempo whenever possible, pound the ball inside to Diogu in halfcourt sets and let him score inside until he is doubled and then let him kick out to open shooters, run the pick and roll with Diogu and Baron and the Pick and Pop with Murphy and Baron all night long and when you think you are running it too much...run it again. They have the personell to be successful, they just have to understand what to do and execute.
