GoogleBļugers tiek pie lielākās algas NHL karjerā un turpinās spēlēt Kanādā
Latvijas hokeja uzbrucējs Teodors Bļugers, kurš šajā starpsezonā kļuva par neierobežotu brīvo aģentu, karjeru turpinās Nacionālās hokeja līgas (NHL) vienībā Toronto ''Maple Leafs''.
Kā sociālajā vietnē ''X.com'' raksta NHL apskatnieks Eliots Frīdmens, Teodors Bļugers vienojies ar Toronto ''Maple Leafs'' par divu gadu un piecu miljonu ASV dolāru lielu līgumu. Tādējādi sezonā Bļugers pelnīs 2.5 miljonus dolāru, kas ir viņa lielākā alga līdzšinējā NHL karjerā – iepriekš uzbrucēja lielākā alga bija 2.2 miljoni Pitsburgā un Lasvegasā.
Aizvadītā sezona Bļugeram savainojumu dēļ izvērtās visai saraustīta, piedaloties vien 35 mačos, kuros latvietis atzīmējās ar 17 punktiem (9+8).
Iepriekšējās trīs sezonas Bļugers pārstāvēja Vankūveras ''Canucks''. Karjeras gaitā Bļugers spēlējis arī Lasvegasas ''Golden Knights'' un Pitsburgas ''Penguins''.
''Maple Leafs'' pagājušajā sezonā ieņēma 15. vietu Austrumu konferencē un pēdējo pozīciju Atlantijas okeāna divīzijā ar 78 punktiem 82 mačos.
Toronto komanda ar 13 Stenlija kausiem ir otrā titulētākā vienība NHL vēsturē. No latviešiem ''Maple Leafs'' kreklā NHL mačā līdz šim laukumā izgājis tikai Kristiāns Rubīns, kuram trīs spēles 2021./2022. gada sezonā.

These 98 players come from 15 countries, and leading the way, as always, is Sweden. Some 25 of the 97 come from the land of Tre Kronor (25.8 per cent), a steady ratio year over year. Russia was right behind with 23 players. The Czechs had 12 and Finland eleven, but the most encouraging news came from Slovakia. They had eight drafted players, the most since 2003 and hopefully a sign of a resurgent program that once produced a World Championship gold medal in 2002.
Overall, Canada led the way with 68 players (30.5 per cent), including ten in the opening round and 15 in round five. The United States wasn’t far behind, with 57 (25.56 per cent), and their big round was the seventh, when 12 Americans heard their name called.
Other European nations to be represented included Latvia. They had four players drafted, and although that isn’t a big number it is a record for the country. Only twice before have they had as many as two players, so this is also an encouraging sign. Belarus and Kazakhstan had three; Switzerland and Germany two, and five countries had a single draftee: Denmark, Hungary, Norway, Lithuania, and Moldova
